Color interaction and its ability to evoke an emotional response are important elements in my work...pulling the imagination into moods, movement and natural forms. I have had a lifelong passion for, and involvement in, visual communication and expression. Painting and design have been the outlets for that passion.

Josef Albers’ iconic work Interaction of Color has deeply influenced my creative process. Albers revealed how color behaves, how it shifts based on context, and how it affects us emotionally. That foundation continues to inspire me every day.

Albers gave us a roadmap for seeing—not just looking, but really seeing how color interacts. My work is a continuation of that conversation: an invitation to slow down, to notice, and to feel how colors play, clash, and harmonize.

Color is the subject of my art. It carries energy, creates rhythm, and often becomes the emotional core of each piece I create.

Color, for me, is a language beyond words. I use it to express tension, harmony, movement—even stillness. A lot of people describe my work as “vibrant,” and happy (which I love)—but what’s underneath that vibrancy is the idea of constant change.

I am especially drawn to the color harmony of Helen Frankenthaler, Matisse, Rothko, Emily Mason and so many others.
