Born in South Africa and raised in Canada, Suzie Jellinek is a contemporary abstract painter. After attending FIT in New York ,and a subsequent successful career in fashion, Suzie decided to pursue her passion for painting full time. She is influenced by nature, travel and Mid-Century Modern painters and the Impressionists. She is curious about the relationship to colors found in nature and how they interact. She plays with color, texture, shape, and pattern and is inspired by her personal interpretation of the natural world around her.
Her work has been placed in both private and public collections. She has also had collaborations with RH, CB2, Rejuvenation Hardware and General Public Art. Suzie lives and works in Connecticut
